INDUSTRY:
The principal industrial products are foodstuffs, beverages, tobacco, textiles, leather, wood products, cement, building materials, metallurgy, small river crafts and bicycles. Although, palm oil is the principal agricultural product, this is no longer exported. Copper, oil deposits and reef gold are exploited and industrial diamonds and cobalt are produced.
The Democratic Republic of Congo has one of the richest reserves of natural resources in the world. Agriculture and mining are the main economic activities.
