Somaliland has confirmed deposits of oil, gas, gypsum, lime, mica, quartz, lignite coal, lead, gold and sulphur. No mining is currently undertaken, all explorations are made by quarrying.

Agriculture is a small part of the country’s economy, however there is considerable potential for cereal and horticultural crops. Fishing is underdeveloped and the port of Berbera has the potential to develop into a major commercial centre.

An effective tool when trading within Somaliland are credit status reports or company searches. Company information will include registration details, credit opinion, locations and financial information, where available.
