INDUSTRY:

The mining and oil industries are the most important sectors of the country’s economy. Namibia is one of the top producers of Uranium in the world and one of the largest exporters of non fuel minerals. Diamond deposits have been located along the coast line and offshore along the sea bed.

Namibia has an active chemicals industry and the manufacturing industry in Namibia is small and focuses on food processing and beverages. The tourism industry is growing with attractions such as Namibia’s wildlife and vast unspolit landscape.

Approximately, 45% of the population is employed in agriculture, mainly livestock.
