INDUSTRY:
Malawi’s economy is based mainly on agriculture which provides 90% of the export earnings. The main subsistence crop are cassava, millet and rice and the principal cash crops are maize and tobacco.
Malawi has a small oil industry importing all petroleum products and a relatively new mining industry that has a lot of potential.
