INDUSTRY:

The oil industry has become the most important sector in Equatorial Guinea’s economy; Agriculture, mainly in the forestry and fishing sectors, are also important. The most promising area for investment is the agricultural sector and the government is actively encouraging investment particularly from the US. Recent discoveries of minerals in the area could also prove to be a pomising investment.

Agricultural crop production for commerce is in decline and the chief products are cocoa, coffee and timber.
