INDUSTRY:
Congo’s oil industry is very important to the economy of the country. There is also a mining industry and a small manufacturing industry dealing with agricultural and forestry products. Congo has deposits of oil, lead, zinc and gold.
Agriculture is mainly subsistence farming and the main food crop, Cassava is grown as well as coffee and cocoa. The main cash crops are sugar and tobacco.
